Le devis pour recherche de pièce m’a été facturé seulement 35€ en n’effectuant pas la réparation malheureusement trop chère au regard du prix du vélo, et comme j’ai récupéré le vélo dans les 24h après le dépôt je n’ai pas eu à payer de gardiennage. Un grand merci pour m’avoir si gentiment contacté pour m’éviter ces frais ainsi que pour votre réactivité et votre professionnalisme 👌

Je pourrais simplement recommander l’atelier, mais je crois que préfère vous en dire plus et vous parler d’un petit studio à vélo qui, derrière la location et la réparation, cache en réalité de formidales passionés du bicycle qui ont été les seuls à prendre à cœur l'adaptation de mon vélo à mon handicap !
Ils ont passé du temps à réfléchir et tester une pièce rarement utilisée (splitter pour les freins) me permettant de redécouvrir ce loisir si longtemps oublié dans mon esprit afin que pour une fois ce soit le vélo qui s’adapte à moi et non l’inverse !

Un grand merci, donc, à Hippolyte et Brewen pour la bonne humeur, le sérieux et la dévotion dont ils ont fait preuve ici.

C’est avec plaisir que nous nous reverrons pour trouver comment adapter davantage mon vélo et me rendre cette activité accessible à nouveau.

A mechanic in love with bikes since childhood

I’m Hippolyte. I’ve been fixing bikes for 15 years and started Cyclo’cool in 2021, first out of my van, now in the workshop on rue Dubois-Aubry in Saint-Pierre-d’Oléron.

In principle, every bike can be fixed… unless it has gone without love and care for too long. Like a lot of things!

A bit of a bike MacGyver, I love finding the part or the trick that saves a bike others would have thrown away. Here we repair, adjust, advise and take the time to explain what we’re doing.

Drop your bike off during opening hours for a repair or a full service. Whatever the job, I look for the fix that keeps your bike rolling longest, at a fair price.

The Île d’Oléron is full of surprises, with more than 160 km of cycle paths… No stress: download the full map as a PDF or the Loopi app and let the GPS guide you.

For sporty types and water lovers: Drop’in Surf Academy, 140 m from Atelier Cyclo’cool, or Island Surf School, which can even put you up in its superb surf house!

Fancy trying wing foiling? Head to Victor at Line Up for maximum thrills.

Wild nature lovers will also enjoy the fun nature activities with Emma from P’tite Nature: forest walks, rock-pooling and even birdwatching outings! In small groups, for maximum fun.

For a bubble of happiness, head to Camping Le Chassiron, where everything is designed to take care of you and the environment, in a setting of unspoilt nature.

Bike rental on Oléron: your questions

How do I book a bike rental on Oléron?

Online, on our booking page, at least three days before your start date. Pick your bikes (hybrid, mountain, e-bike, cargo or tandem) and your dates in a few clicks. For a last-minute request, call the workshop: we’ll do our best.

Do you deliver rental bikes?

Yes, on conditions: delivery is free from €150 of rental and 3 days minimum, subject to an available slot. Send us an email to arrange it.

What happens if something goes wrong during my rental?

Breakdown help is included. Flat tyre or a dropped chain? Call the workshop and we’ll come and fix it.

Do I need an appointment to get my bike repaired?

You can drop your bike off at the workshop in Saint-Pierre-d’Oléron during opening hours, which vary with the season and are kept up to date on Google. A full service starts at €72 incl. VAT, plus parts.

Do you repair e-bikes?

Yes. The workshop services and repairs e-bikes, and can also convert your regular bike with a Syklo® or Virvolt® kit.
