🚲 Why cycle on the île d’Oléron?

Oléron is one of France’s cycling paradises. With over 160 km of cycle paths winding through pine forests, salt marshes, wild beaches and oyster villages, cycling is simply the best way to discover the island at your own pace.

At Atelier Cyclo’Cool, we offer carefully maintained bikes, delivered to your accommodation if needed, with breakdown assistance included. All so you only have to think about one thing: enjoying yourself! 🌞

🚚 Delivery

📅 How do I request a delivery?

Contact us by email before finalising your booking on the website. Any booking made without a prior request will be treated as a workshop pick-up.

🕐 What are the delivery and pick-up times?

Drop-offs and pick-ups take place before 9:30am or between 6pm and 8pm. In July and August, delivery is suspended unless booked in advance.

🚚 If you deliver the bikes, do you also collect them?

Yes, absolutely! A delivery automatically includes a pick-up at the same address at the end of your rental. No need to travel.

💶 From what amount is delivery free?

Delivery is free from €150 of rental anywhere on the île d’Oléron. Below that amount, contact us to find out the conditions.

🤝 Why do you sometimes refuse delivery?

Delivery is a great extra we’re happy to offer — but it requires careful organisation on our end. We’re a very small team, and every delivery needs to be planned carefully. If we can’t fulfil your request, it’s never out of unwillingness, it’s simply because our capacity is limited. Thank you for your understanding! 🙏

🚴 Accessories & Equipment

🔒 Are locks provided?

Yes! We trust people… but we’re not naive either 😄 A lock is provided with every rental bike.

🧒 Do you offer children’s bikes and accessories?

Yes! We offer children’s bikes, tandems, fat bikes, as well as accessories: baby seat, trailer, helmets and panniers. Everything you need for a stress-free family ride!

⚡ Classic bike or electric bike — how do I choose?

The electric bike is ideal for longer distances or less sporty riders — it helps you pedal effortlessly along the island’s 160 km of cycle paths. The classic bike is the good old-fashioned way! Both are carefully maintained.

🛠️ What happens if I get a puncture on the road?

Don’t panic! Breakdown assistance is included in the rental price, from 10am to 6pm, every day of your stay. Our technicians will come directly to you in case of breakdown or puncture anywhere on the island.

⚠️ In case of damage or theft

🏝️ Is bike theft common on the île d’Oléron?

Zero risk doesn’t exist, even on a peaceful island like Oléron. That’s exactly why we provide a lock with every bike. A good lock used properly significantly reduces the risk!

💥 What happens in case of damage or theft?

In case of damage, the client pays for the cost of the broken parts. In case of theft, the deposit is charged to cover the costs. We strongly advise you to always lock your bike, even for a short absence!
